Yesterday, the International Contemporary Art Exhibition Blue Dream 2024: Sunrise at Sea was host at the Nordic Contemporary Art Center, Xiamen. As one of the accompanying events of the 2014 East Asian Seas Congress and Xiamen International Ocean Week — Ocean Culture Carnival, this exhibition will remain open to the public free of charge until December 28.

This exhibition brings together 35 artists from countries including China, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, the United States, Germany, and France, whose works explore the profound connections between humanity and the ocean. Far more than merely a celebration of artistic aesthetics, this exhibition serves as a window for international dialogue; through art education and public outreach, it fosters cross-cultural exchange in marine arts and culture, thereby enhancing the cultural power of marine culture in Xiang'an — and indeed, throughout Xiamen.
